Prayer

Weekly Prayer Time

The Wimberley UMC prayer team meets each Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the chapel on the first floor to pray together over illnesses and needs, as well as the joys and celebrations that are made known to them. There is an active email team that also receives these requests and prays over them from their homes. All are welcome to participate. Please submit prayer requests to Lee and keep her updated on any developments.

Online Intercessory Prayer Requests

WUMC offers an Online Prayer Request service. You can make intercessory prayer requests at anytime and from anywhere in the world. Your request is immediately sent to the WUMC Prayer Team. While making your online request, you may opt for your online intercessory prayer request to be visible on the Prayer Needs page, where others join in God's army of prayer warriors to lift up your needs.

"They 'stood in the gap' for me, individually and collectively when I needed it most."

Drops of Living Water

People who may need a little extra lift are given buckets filled with words of encouragement written on the "drops of water". This program was honored as the Austin District's Outstanding innovative ministry for 2007.

The prayers, encouragement, poems, hymns, etc. are written by all members of the church.

"WUMC are the most accepting and caring people I have ever known."

If you know of someone who could use some "drops of living water" due to illness, grief, or just a low point in their lives. Please contact Lee for more information.

Ministry to Ministers

Before the 8:30 and 11:00 am Sunday services, members of the WUMC congregation anoint and pray over the Associate and Senior pastors. Volunteers are welcome to participate in this ministry. To be included in the schedule please contact Lee.
