Discipleship
Welcome to the Youth Ministry page for Wimberley UMC! We are a youth program (grades 6th-12th) committed to exploring the Christian faith and what it means to follow Jesus Christ. We do this through discipleship, worship, fellowship, bible study, and missions. We welcome youth (and families) from all backgrounds and faith perspectives. We believe in being present in our community through local mission projects, worship gatherings, and just having fun in and around Wimberley. Please join us for our weekly activities!
Spring 2012
Sunday Evenings (MYF) – from 5:30 – 7:30P – join us for our weekly Sunday evening program.
Games, food and interactive Bible Study (video, skits, discussion groups, etc…).
Wednesday Nights (Enjoy this House) – from 5:30 – 7:30P – Join us for a relaxed evening in the middle of the school week.
We’ll have dinner together, followed by games and activities (students are allowed to work on homework), a short lesson,
and Christ Candle.
Wednesday Night activities will end on May 18th, and then starting in June we will move to Terrific Tuesdays doing fun activities throughout the summer. Sunday Night MYF’s are year round.
We also have a youth band which meets two Sunday’s a month! Any youth interested in singing or playing an instrument is welcome. No experience required.
Sr. High mission trip – June 12-18 (Poteet, TX) – We will do home repair for people in need.
Jr. High mission trip – July 10-14 (Weimer, TX) – Working on poorer churches in the area
while staying at the beautiful Cathedral Oaks encampment.

Please check out upcoming activities on the calendar for current days, places, and times. (Note: some weeks the youth will not gather due to mission trips and other competing events).
