Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal experience designed to strengthen and encourage Christians in their walk with Christ.
Through worship, prayer, learning, fellowship, and reflection, participants are invited to experience God’s grace in a deeper way and return to their churches and communities renewed for Christian discipleship and service.

The Wimberley Local Emmaus Community (currently teaming up with Dripping Springs) is part of the Hays Praise Emmaus Community. Wimberley UMC and Dripping Springs UMC host local community gatherings approximately once a month.
When the greater Hays Praise Community gathers in Wimberley, meetings are held at Chapel in the Hills, which offers additional space for the larger community.
Anyone who has attended a Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, Cursillo, or a similar short course in Christianity is warmly invited to join us.
Experience a Walk
Hays Praise currently holds two Men’s Walks and two Women’s Walks each year at Wellspring Retreat Center near Blanco, Texas.
