Adult Small Group
Sunday Mornings 11:00 a.m.
Faith Meets Life (FML) is an open and welcoming small group of older and younger singles, couples, and non-church members. FML focuses on actively applying the Christian faith and example of Jesus to current issues in everyday life and through missions. FML's wide-ranging study covers the Bible, recommended books, authors and videos. They currently meet at 11am on Sundays in-person in our community room (Fellowship Hall). Studies usually are centered on a video teaching session by the author, accompanying book, and small breakout groups for discussion as we continue to learn to follow Jesus and apply our faith to our lives.

FML begins a five-week study of Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn't Say by Adam Hamilton on August 17. Small group discussions center around weekly videos. Books are available too.
Adults Serving Christ
Small Group
Sunday Mornings 11:00 a.m.
A mix of young families, retirees, and everything in between. As the name indicates, we have a strong focus on helping others, but we also find time to have fun together, while growing in faith. The Adults Serving Christ small group meets downstairs at 11:00 am after the Sunday service in the Agape Room.
Adults Serving Christ is studying The Big Picture: Seeing God’s Dream for Your Life by Nicole and Jevon Caldwell-Gross, through the lens of Joseph's life in Egypt and his dreams. The series has a book and video for each session. ASC will meet on September 14, October 5, 19, and 26. (No adult classes will meet on the intervening dates.)

The Wimberley Local Emmaus Community is part of the Hays Praise Emmaus Community. Wimberley UMC and Chapel in the Hills host local community meetings, approximately monthly. When the greater Hays Praise Community meets in Wimberley, we gather at Chapel in the Hills which has a larger capacity than the Wimberley UMC Fellowship Hall. Anyone who has attended a Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, cursillo, or any similar short course on Christianity is welcome to attend.

Hays Praise currently holds two Men's and two Women's Walks each year at Wells Springs Retreat Center near Blanco.

General Questions
Where do I park?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the service begins to allow time for parking and choosing where you want to sit.
-
Handicapped parking is available in each parking lot.
-
The larger parking lot provides access to the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary.

Is there a dress code?
We are casual around here. You will see jeans, shorts, dresses, and business casual attire. So, wear something comfortable and come on!

How will I know where to go?
We have volunteers available at every turn, so just look for someone with a friendly smile. They're here to help!

Can my children play on the church playground when church is not in session?
Of course! Parents must provide supervision to their children while on the playground and play at their own risk. While the Bright Beginnings Preschool is in session however, the playground is closed due to child licensing requirements. Thank you for understanding.
